Ok: I totally "get" this...a twist between Mexican nachos and typical spud tot hot dish. Fabricated as directed and pretty good. My mind couldn't quite procedure the upside down (or reversed) blistering of this goulash but information technology was good. I totally plan to try once again with the post-obit changes. 1) place beefiness on lesser per normal. 2) in identify of your typical greenish beans (as the 2nd "layer" I will try...maybe a can of chili beans or black beans...we'll encounter what's in my pantry. three) pour one-half the sauce over the meat/beans, layer tots and pour remaining sauce over all. Bake for the normal hr or so as I am used to merely will still achieve the Mexican twist goal. Fun and worth a endeavor. Thank you for the great idea.

Hubby really liked. I didn't have nacho cheese soup on manus, then I used a cheddar cheese soup that I had instead. I besides added a tin can of chopped green chilis and black olives. Pretty adept, may become a regular item for our dinner menu.

I kept all the ingredients it chosen for as listed, with the exception of calculation a loving cup of frozen sugariness corn to the hamburger/love apple soup mixture as it was simmering. Other than that, the one major change I made was to flip this casserole upside down from it's instructions. I take OCD...seriously...and my heed could not bargain with the tots being on the bottom. The concept literally drove me insane (anyone with OCD will understand) and I couldn't build the casserole the way information technology was instructed. And then I placed the hamburger/tomato soup/taco seasoning mix with the corn I added on the lesser, topped it with 3/4 of the nacho cheese soup mixture, so the irish potato tots which I crisped beforehand, then drizzled those with the final 1/iv nacho cheese soup mix. Broiled for 15 - 20 minutes, then topped with the shredded cheese and diced green onion. Placed dorsum in the oven some other v-10 minutes until cheese was melted and golden brown. This was Succulent. Rave reviews from hubby and one that volition definitely go into rotation. Thank you for the wonderful recipe!

Ok: I totally "get" this...a twist betwixt Mexican nachos and typical spud tot hot dish. Made as directed and pretty good. My listen couldn't quite procedure the upside down (or reversed) baking of this casserole but information technology was skilful. I totally plan to try again with the post-obit changes. 1) place beef on bottom per normal. 2) in place of your typical light-green beans (every bit the 2nd "layer" I will effort...maybe a tin can of chili beans or black beans...we'll see what'due south in my pantry. iii) cascade half the sauce over the meat/beans, layer tots and pour remaining sauce over all. Bake for the normal hr or then equally I am used to just volition yet attain the Mexican twist goal. Fun and worth a endeavor. Cheers for the great idea.

This casserole was pretty good. I made it exactly equally the recipe called for. I merely felt like it was defective something in flavor, I think next time I will add more taco seasoning.

Crawly. I didnt season the meat seperatly (didnt see the bespeak). I simply poured the whole bundle of taco seasoning into the soup mix (plus a little more) Just used about 3/4 of the purse of potato tots. Will definatly repeat.

Beloved this recipe! So expert. I employ a white onion instead of the green onion as my grocery shop always seems out of them.

Very tasty but incredibly salty every bit directed. I'd need to detect lower sodium ingredients earlier making information technology again.

Winner! Easy and tastes like a Mexican lazagna.

Family unit loved this! I used 2 packs of low sodium taco seasoning rather than one to add together flavor. Will def make again.

My family unit all liked this I made it as written.. I thought it would be to soupy but with putting the tatters on the bottom they really helped to thicken it. Nice change.

This was a overnice alter from our regular hamburger dishes and we really liked it. For ease, I browned the beef, calculation the diced yellow onion during the concluding bit, to soften. Added at that point a can of pinto beans and the taco seasoning packet. Poured that mixture into a 9x9 pan (perfect size, as information technology turned out); topped with shredded cheese; poured the mixture of soups and milk over the top, sprinkling with a bit more bootleg taco seasoning; and refrigerated until 30 minutes before dinner time. At that betoken, preheated the oven while covering the tiptop of the casserole with tater tots, which required less than the amount called for here, and also no lesser layer of tots. Cooked about 25 to 30 minutes, as it started out cold from the fridge. Piece of cake and quick. Hubby like every bit is and I did likewise, just plant information technology even tastier with sprinkles of Tobasco sauce. We institute the layer of tots every bit a topping to be more than adequate and don't recall either of us would have liked it half as much with an additional layer on the bottom. Yum. Cheers for sharing.

This one is a keeper !!!!

It was pretty good, but it was a fiddling heavy on sauce and besides light on hamburger. Want to effort again making these adjustments.

It was great, it took longer than information technology said in recipe...I cranked up the temperature to 400° to crisp upwardly the tater tots and once adding the remainder of ingredients information technology yet took longer....than recommended.

I fabricated this for dinner tonight with some minor changes based on what I had in the house. I used ground turkey instead of beef, a tin of Campbell's Cheddar Cheese Soup since I didn't have the other kind, and two cans of Rotel tomatoes (mild with diced green chilis). I didn't cook the tater tots start as suggested in the original recipe. I simply mixed the soup, tomatoes and browned footing turkey together and poured information technology over the top of the white potato tots in the casserole dish. Broiled information technology on 350 for 25 minutes, added some shredded cheese to the top and allow it melt before serving.

I made this recipe pretty much similar directed. I added some white onions besides into the hamburger as information technology was cooking. I added a can of corn, drained, into the soup mixture. I didn't brown the tator tots first, I but put soup mixture on height of frozen tots. I crushed some fritos on superlative of the melted cheese. Yum!!! Its a keeper.

I forgot to bake the tater tots before adding the rest of the ingredients and it notwithstanding was delicious. Next time I'll bake them commencement for the crunchiness. As well used salsa instead of tomato soup because I was out and it worked well. Will definitely make again!

But okay in my opinion. If I'm going to splurge on the calories and processed ingredients I want it to taste better.

4 stars because it needed a piddling something actress. I used greenish and white onion. Added fresh tomatoes and sliced scarlet pepper strips. I only had cheddar soup so I used it. Having the fresh tomato and pepper helped offset some of the "tinny" taste of the canned soups. I also used a recipe on hither for taco seasoning. It makes a divergence in the overall taste.

I concur with JED901...WAY salty. I don't call back in that location is a "non-seasoned" version of tater tots....if there are, my local GIANT doesn't have them. Anywho......I used the burger, cheddar cheese soup, medium picante, milk, a can of mexicorn and a whole pack of taco seasoning low sodium and onion pulverisation(I didn't have fresh onion) and it was STILL tooo salty. Next time I volition apply either veggie tots or cut the taco seasoning in half.......no need to add to the soup mixture. With that existence said......my "picky" BF LOVED it...had 2 servings!!!!

This turned out neat! I think information technology'll be a new favorite. Incredibly filling and succulent! My grocery store doesn't carry the condensed nacho cheese soup, so I used two individual cups of a 4-pk of Chi-chi'southward nacho cheese dip and a can of Contadina tomato sauce. I omitted the milk because we simply had almond milk on-hand and that didn't sound as well appealing for this recipe.
